LOS ANGELES (September 21, 2011) – Cory Allen Contemporary Art (CACA) announces that Google Artist, XVALA, will be displaying the recent hacked nude photos of celebrity Scarlett Johansson on the streets of Los Angeles and London, as part of his “Fear Google” campaign.

“Fear Google ScarJo,” a diptych featuring the two hacked nude images of Scarlett Johansson, was partly inspired by Johansson’s desire to have all of her nude photos removed from all Internet sources.

“It’s interesting that she chose to draw more attention to the photos by demanding that they be removed,” said Cory Allen.

“People who take artsy nude pictures of themselves do it to help their social networking,” said artist XVALA, “and they never disappear from the Internet.”

“XVALA has been working with other hacked celebrity photos, but the ScarJo photos resonate with him more,” said Cory Allen. “Because Scarlett wants these images to disappear from the Internet and XVALA has been campaigning to warn about the futility of such a thing to ever happen.”

The “Fear Google” campaign launched in 2010 and is the first street art sticker designed for the Post-PC era.  XVALA’s street works, sculptures, drawings, internet ideas point to society’s growing inability to disconnect from the internet.  The latest ScarJo edition to XVALA’s “Google Paste” series, we’ll be showcased as street art and photographic prints, available in upcoming gallery exhibitions.

XVALA is represented by Cory Allen Contemporary Art (CACA), who also represents celebrity artist, Daniel Edwards, recently known for his Justin nude Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Sculpture and the nude bust of the late, Amy Winehouse.
